The primary focus of BOS is to provide comprehensive services to homeless families in a continuum of services beginning with emergency shelter. Our forty-bed, twenty-four-hour emergency shelter in the basement of Christ Lutheran Church houses women and their children.
Programs in the shelter include a pediatric nurse, pediatric social worker to provide therapy for children and families, and an after-school program for children. Our caseworker refers to mental health and substance abuse treatment, job programs, transitional and permanent housing arrangements, and financial resources.
