Fundraising Events — Jon Schmidt Concert
Jon Schmidt, a classical new-age piano player and composer, held two benefit concerts at Christ Lutheran Church on October 18 and 19 that raised more than $6,000 for Baltimore Outreach Services. Mr. Schmidt's encore performance of "Silent Night," which he dedicated to an 11-year-old resident of the shelter, brought the audience to tears and ended the event with a standing ovation.
